If you’re working from home now in 2020, you most likely are adjusting to a new lifestyle. There’s new distractions, less meetings, and more time on your hands. Depending on your situation, this can be a blessing or a curse.
As a full time (even before COVID) work from home pro, I’m happy to share with you a few little things that will make a big impact on your day.
If you haven’t seen my Amazon office decor post, you can click to read it here.
01. The Lap Desk
We all have days where we just don’t want to get out of bed. Whether you’re not feeling your best, or just needing a new environment to work in, the lap desk is great to have on hand. I wish I had invested in this from the beginning. For the days where I’m sick of working at my desk in my one bedroom apartment, the bed often becomes a solid choice to work. The prices vary, but click here to find the latest price for the Lap Desk.
02. Air Pods
This is 2020 y’all. We need some headphones without the messy cord that is always in the way. It’s true that talking on the phone with your headphones result in a clearer sound. Plus, with the dogs barking in the background, these headphones can help you stay focused to get done what you need to. You can also get these pink wireless headphones that are half the cost of the real apple ones.
03. All Birds Women’s Tree Lounger Shoes
So we don’t want to wear slippers when we work; they can make you feel much lazier and effect your work. We also don’t want to wear regular uncomfortable work shoes, because (duh) we’re at home- we don’t need to. But should you go with no shoes? Unfortunately, this can make you still feel too relaxed. Instead, aim for comfortable lounge shoes. These are a great combination of comfortable lounge shoes, yet nice enough to be productive. They’re a little on the pricier side.. but like the saying goes, you get what you pay for with these lounge shoes.
04. Back Posture Corrector
Working at a desk for hours at a time? Now is the perfect time to work on our posture while sitting. This is extremely important to do because it can solve a lot of pain issues in your neck and back. If I have to pay a small price (check the latest price here) to get rid of this issue, it’s worth it to avoid the trouble of being uncomfortable, seeing a doctor, or taking pain meds.
05. Roll On Migraine Stick
Ugh, got that horrible headache or migraine from staring at your computer too long? This migraine stick has over 3,000 positive reviews for helping get rid of it naturally.
06. Mug Warmer
Are you used to having your coffee at work first thing in the morning? Most of our schedules are changing. Sure, we can still get our coffee to start off the day. Only thing is… we now have family interrupting at all moments of the day. Before you know it, you’ve forgotten about your coffee and now it’s cold. This is a quick and easy fix: get yourself a mug warmer!
07. NeuroGum
Does quarantine make you feel pretty “blah”? You know.. the feeling of having nothing to look forward to, no interest in being productive, all mixed with a lack of self discipline? Plus, you’ve had 3 cups of coffee today and that’s still not getting the job done. Don’t worry – many of us are feeling the same way right now. The problem is.. we still have to get our work done. Try NeuroGum, a natural caffeine supplement.
08. Time-Marked Water Bottle
With a changing routine, it’s so easy to forget the most basic essential we all need – water. I’m guilty of it, too. Once I get in the zone, I totally forget about drinking enough water. It’s so so so important, and can have a huge impact on your entire well being. Sure, you have your water bottle in front of you.. but is one or two enough? Absolutely not. We have enough to think about right now, so get a bottle that tells you how much you have left to drink for the day.
And before you scroll and think this is a non-essential find on the list, I encourage you to think twice. I’m sure you think can manage your own water intake, but there’s a good chance already you’re not getting enough. Want to be healthier, more productive, and in a better mood? I’m serious – start drinking!! I’ve had 10+ kidney stones.. if there’s one thing you do for yourself, stay on top of your water intake. This time marked water bottle is the easiest way to do so.
09. Hand Massager

11. Keyboard Cleaning Gel
Maybe you don’t notice it anymore because you’re so used to it.. but I bet if you were to look down at your keyboard, they probably have some stains, crumbs, or who knows what else in between the cracks. This keyboard cleaning gel has over 5,000 reviews on Amazon, and it won’t break the bank. Do yourself a favor and clean your keyboard.

13. Miniature Desk Fan
