Wedding planning can be extremely overwhelming. There are so many vendors to keep up with, so many décor pieces to buy, and so many different parts to plan for. My two favorite sites for wedding décor have been Etsy and Amazon. While Etsy tends to have more personalized, creative décor, it also tends to take a bit longer to make. Amazon, on the other hand, has some great simple must-haves that you can get by tomorrow. I’ve found that these purchases are so easy and so quick, they’ve helped me check off so much on my list (not to mention the stress relief!).
I’ve learned the key is to purchase things overtime months before the wedding. I can’t stand the thought of spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars at one time on decor that’ll be for one night. But buying in $20-$50 batches has really taken the burden off. Therefore, I wanted to share these Amazon wedding decor must-haves with you in hopes that you can do the same. Not to mention the amount of money you’ll save not buying from a specialty retailer!
I’ve decided not to include pricing below, because Amazon sellers have a tendency to change their prices on occasion, and I like my posts to be completely truthful and accurate. Therefore, clink on the respective links to check the latest prices.
Please note that while these products do have affiliate links, I would not recommend anything I have not tried and used myself.
Here are the items every bride needs from Amazon:
Wedding Stamps – These stamps have been a life saver. For wedding invitations, it’s standard to have stamps that are a little fancier than your every day american flag. These stamps do just the job. Beware- depending on the weight of your invitations (more or less than an ounce), you may need to buy these in the 2 oz stamps (also on Amazon) as opposed to the standard 1 oz stamp.
Men’s Wedding Ring – So I let my fiance pick out his ring.. and this is what he picked out. Click the link the check the price because it always changing, but we paid less than $25 for this exact ring. I tried to show him more expensive rings in the $200-$300 range, and he kept coming back to this one. To my surprise, it is extremely high quality and pretty heavy. Perfect choice- especially on a budget.
Gold Table Number Holders – These holders are perfect for table numbers, as well as any other signs (Remembering those who have passed, specialty cocktails, etc).
Wax Invitation Wax Seal Kit – A wax seal is an inexpensive way to make your wedding invitations look even more formal. I debated getting a personalized ones with our initials from Etsy, but eventually decided against it. Buying a personalized stamp from Etsy to me was the perfect example of how weddings get so expensive. I didn’t need to spend the extra money on it and wait 6 weeks to get in. The M (our last name initial) has turned out perfect. They also have every other letter in the alphabet and plus some.
Wax for Wax Seals – To tag along with the wax seal kit, you’ll also need a pack of these waxes. For 125+ invitations, I still had about 3 sticks leftover when I finished. They also have any other color you’d like.
Flower girl bracelet – This bracelet is such a great deal. I gave my flowergirl this gift when I asked her, and she LOVED it (she’s 5)! She’s now going to wear it down the isle.
Flower girl basket – These baskets are SO cute! Again, this was an expense that could’ve costed me double the price, but Amazon was able to come in and get the job done. I can’t wait for my flower girl to walk down with them!
White Cardstock Paper – Okay… this paper has been a LIFESAVER! It is thick, extremely high quality, with a light texture. I first searched Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and every other craft store, but they never had large packs of what I liked. That’s when I turned to Amazon. I used it when creating my invitations, my thank you cards, my wedding programs, my table numbers…I think you get the point. It great quality. If you need it, you should get it.
Paper Trimmer – This has really come in handy. I originally got my invitations printed and cut at Fedex, but after spending $150+, I decided to get my own printer and cutter. This paper trimmer works great for cutting cardstock, and my cutting job looks no different from the professionals.
White Thank you Envelopes – I bought a personalized thank you card digital template online, printed them out myself, then bought these envelopes for the cards to go in. Simple, cheap, quick, and still was able to personalize.
Floating Candles – These floating candles are going to go in mixed sized candle holders as centerpieces. Why buy full sized candles when you can just put water in and buy only the amount of candle wax that you’ll use?
Mr and Mrs Sign – This sign is the perfect decor for a sweetheart table. Need I say anything else?! Cant’ wait for these.
Just Married Banner – This sign is under $10, and is the perfect decoration for our getaway car.
Knife and Cake Server Set – Most bakeries do not include these utinsels, and if your venue doesn’t provide, it’ll be your responsibility. This is another example of where you can save money. You can spend double the price on this getting it personalized, but at the end of the day… do you really need it personalized? If not, this is a solid choice.
Card Box – Few reasons I love this dress. First, it’s simple, bridal, and elegant. Secondly, it has a clamp in the back to make sure people can’t move it. I like to think I can trust all my guests, but guests sometimes bring their own guests, and you just never know. Better safe than sorry.
Guest Book – In addition to having an “alternative” guest book, it’s also nice to have an actual guest book where you can see people’s signature in an orderly fashion. This guest book is simple, clean, and gets the job done.
Ling’s Artificial Roses – A lot of brides love the idea of artificial flowers. While it’s a great DIY solution, there’s definitely a right and wrong way to do this. You must buy high quality in order for it to not look fake. Ling’s has all kinds of artificial flowers in all different colors. Her brand is GREAT and trustworthy. These are perfect for bouquets, table decor, or any other place you need flowers.
Votive Candles – You can always use these. They can be used on any kind of table, during the ceremony, or whatever your heart desires. Go crazy with these. They’re cheap and look elegant.
Flip Flops for Wedding Guests – Do you ever feel like you don’t want to dance at wedding simple because your heels hurt? That’s for sure me, too many times. I saw this at a wedding last summer and absolutely loved this idea. They were a huge hit and I can’t wait to use them at mine. These come in all different colors and all different sizes.
Kate Spade Wedding Shoes – Yes, I’m actually wearing these at my wedding and couldn’t be more excited. By the previous item, I’m sure you’re not surprised at this point. BUT, the last thing you want is for your feet to be hurting at your own wedding and not wanting to walk around and talk to everyone. These are SUPER cute and I can’t wait for them!
So there you have it! These are some perfect amazon wedding pieces that you’ll definitely need. Do yourself a favor and start getting these now, because chances are it’ll just get added to your long to-do list and add more stress for you later.
