I wanted to make this post not only for brides, but for everyone who is looking to upgrade their old kitchen and cleaning supplies. These are my favorite wedding registry gifts that I think everyone should have. If you haven’t looked at your cookie sheet lately, it may be time for an upgrade. I bet if you were to go look at it right now, you may be a little grossed out (I know I was once I compared it to my new one). Or maybe that vacuum you’ve been using the past 5 years is frustrating to even think about using.
I got a wake- up call when I started receiving my wedding registry gifts. I’m not usually the type of person to love materialistic things. I’d take a nice vacation over new appliances any day. But… once I got some new things in, I realized that I actually enjoy cleaning more. I enjoy cooking more. I’m excited to have guests over to show off my new serving trays. It made me feel better about the quality of things I own. So- regardless where you are in life, I highly suggest looking into getting these. If you’re getting married, now is a perfect time to register for these. Don’t forget them!
I have to admit, I did have a bit of a unique wedding.. my wedding was during the COVID 19 pandemic. If you’re worried about registering, when you now know guests can’t attend. Stress no more. If you sent out invitations before your area’s restrictions came in place, don’t worry – it’s not rude to still ask your guests for gifts. They should understand this pandemic wasn’t your fault. You can click here to view all the details of my coronavirus wedding.
If you’re just now starting a registry, I recommend starting here with an Amazon Registry. Regardless wherever else you want to register at, an Amazon registry is a must have. It’s free to create, it’s easy for both you and your guests, and has a TON of options. They also have a 10% completion discount for everything you didn’t get. You can also make items a “group gift” meaning people can contribute to the purchase without buying the whole thing.
1. DYSON V11 CORDLESS VACUUM
Okay, I’ll give you a heads up – this is the most expensive piece for this list of my favorite wedding registry gifts. It wasn’t cheap. If I’m being honest, we didn’t even register for it. We got really lucky, and someone bought this for us because they knew it would change our lives. After using it, I would have 100% had it on my registry list. If you’re worried about the price, know that the price fluctuates, and it’s the perfect group gift item.
This vacuum is small but mighty. It is by far the strongest suction vacuum I’ve ever used. Also, I never realized how much of a pain cords and heavy vacuums are. I actually enjoy cleaning with this thing now and do it a lot more often. Click here to find this vacuum on Amazon.
2. TURKISH TOWELS
It’s time you upgrade your towels. Are you tired of using the small towels that barely fit around your body once? Getting a larger size made a HUGE difference for us. The size to look for is 35 x 70. Turkish towels are made from a premium turkish cotton. They’re known for being softer and more absorbant. You’ll immediately notice the difference in quality. The best part? They’re not as pricey as you’re thinking. When we got them, Amazon had them listed at $30 for two. You can check the latest price on the Turkish towels here.
3. CAST IRON SKILLET
If you haven’t heard of a cast iron pan, first thing to know is that it is NOT a normal pan. Cast iron skillets are pretty much indestructible. They also hold and retain heat very well. Have you ever noticed all those scratches on your pans? That’s because the pan doesn’t hold heat very well and you’ll probably have to toss it out soon. These will last you forever. They are a bit trickier to clean because they do rust, but after cleaning simply apply a little vegetable oil or Pam to the skillet. This will prevent your pan from rusting. To be honest, this is our second cast iron skillet. Our first one we didn’t feel was big enough, so we registered for the larger one. By the way.. did I mention that these are relatively cheap? You can easily find a nice cast iron skillets under $50. Many are under $25 as well. Click here to find the cast iron skillet you’ll love.
4. PIZZA STONE
We’re big pizza lovers in our house. Have you ever heard of stone-fired pizzas? Many restaurants pride themselves on having a stone fired oven- and for good reason! Pizza stones make the best pizzas. The stone holds the heat and allows the pizza to cook evenly and cooks the bottom and crust to a perfect crisp. Best yet, you can easily have one for your home. Click here to view the pizza stone on Amazon.
5. THERAPEDIC TRUCOOL MEMORY FOAM KING SIDE SLEEPER/BACK SLEEPER PILLOWS
Did I mention this list is in no specific order? Because if it was.. this might be first on the list of my favorite wedding registry gifts. This pillow has made the biggest difference in our every day lives. After having these pillows, I will never go back. I’m a bit of a bed snob, and when my husband and I moved in together, we kept his bed. He loves it, and I’m not as much of a fan. I found myself rolling over all the time and losing sleep. I noticed my back was hurting more too. I did some research and figured out why: he’s a back sleeper, and I’m a side sleeper. Back sleepers like harder beds, while side sleepers need something softer. Once we settled on a mattress topper, we registered for these pillows. I’m telling you – they are worth every single penny. They constantly stay cool, and are the perfect neck support for you to get the best rest you can. You can buy whichever one you specifically need- whether you’re a side sleeper or a back sleeper. Click here to find where to get these pillows.
6. BARTESIAN
So.. we heard about this one right AFTER our wedding. (Ugh). It might be the coolest kitchen gadget there is though. It’s like a Keurig, but for alcoholic drinks. Want the perfect margarita? Just put your “K-cup” in the machine and press go. If you haven’t heard of it yet, it’s because it’s still new. If you like to have a cocktail when your friends come over, this is the machine for you. Click here to view the Bartesian.
7. Mud Pie Kitchen Set
This is the most adorable set ever. I didn’t register for all of their things, but a few here and there. I just can’t get over the adorable sayings!! If you’re a Texas girl, you can also find this set at Buccee’s. (If you don’t know what Buccee’s is, it’s an extremely high-end, popular gas station where you can buy gas, food, the cutest kitchen supplies, and anything else your heart desires. People LOVE Buccee’s). Point is.. If you want some dishware that will stand out, this is it. Click here to view the entire Mud Pie Store on Amazon.
8. Luigi Bormioli Crescendo Stemless Wine Glass Set of 4
At first, I didn’t put much thought into what wine glasses I wanted. I knew stemless was the style to go with, and I knew I needed some good ones, but that’s about it. When I got this box in, I could seriously feel the luxury in my hands. These are large strong wine glasses, and have a lifetime warranty for chipping. I’ve drank out of many different wine glasses before, and these I could immediately tell were one of the best I’ve ever even held.
9. Leila Dinnerware Set
This was the set I got for my large plates, salad plates, mugs, and bowls. I LOVE this set. It also deserves to be at the top of the list. Each piece is handmade and a little bit different. But the unique shape to it I couldn’t resist. It’s extremely high quality, dishwasher safe, and is very high end for an affordable price. Click here to register for the Leila Dinnerware Set.
10. POTS & PANS
Last, (but not least), are my pots and pans. I put these on here for one reason..
When I started registering with Bed Bath & Beyond (still love them), they tried to sell us on registering for these super high end pots and pans. I’m talking $400-$500 for pots alone. Being our clueless selves, we thought that’s just how much people spent on a nice set like that. After looking on Amazon, we found these same pots and pans for a quarter of the price that Bed Bath & Beyond had. Sure – maybe they’re not the same level of quality. But we’re not huge cooks, and our cast iron skillet and stone pan we’re enough luxury for us. We knew we could add much more to our registry if we went with an Amazon product. So that’s what we did. We probably ended up saving close to $1,000, and opted for additional nice gifts instead. Click here to find these pots & pans on Amazon.
So there you have it – my favorite wedding registry gifts. After you get them, I want to know which ones are your favs!! Be sure to comment below and let me know. I know that none of these will let you down!
